The local community is invited to an adult education fair Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St.
Adults interested in continuing their education either traditionally or online are welcome to the fair, which will include representatives from 11 colleges. In addition to the fair, there will also be a financial aid planning presentation by a representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission at 11 a.m.
Colleges and universities at the fair will include: DeVry University, Dominican University, Elmhurst College, Grand Canyon University, Indiana Tech, Indiana Wesleyan University, Joliet Junior College, National Louis University, Northern Illinois University, Robert Morris University and University of St. Francis.
“This fair will be a one stop shop for adults looking to start or continue their higher education,” said Lisa Pappas, assistant library director. “Bring any questions you have because there will be representatives from each school ready and available to talk with you.”
Scholarship information will also be available to all attendees. This event is in partnership with Resources for the Education of Adults in the Chicago Area.
