American Legion Post 134 honors Great Lakes recruits

The Navy recruits from Naval Service Training Command in Great Lakes were transported to American Legion Post 134 by bus courtesy of Niles West High School.  They were greeted by Rear Admiral Stephen C. Evans, commander of the Naval Service Training Command and American Legion Post 134 Commander Thomas Mann, other legion members, village officials, fire and policemen, friends, and guests.  The recruits were served a complete Thanksgiving dinner that included a sweets table.  The day included free phone service Xbox360 video games, movies and a magician.

Six telephone lines were donated by AT&T providing free service all day to anywhere in the world.
