Bolingbrook and Romeoville Police Blotter: May 21-31

Note to readers: Information in Police Blotter is obtained from Bolingbrook and Romeoville police departments and the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals listed in Police Blotter charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

BOLINGBROOK

MAY 27

Joshua Hardy, 19, of Bolingbrook, was charged with disorderly conduct on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Rd. at 9:53 p.m.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Garden Drive for the report of an armed robbery. The victim was approached by unknown subjects who displayed a handgun, demanded the victim’s phone, struck the victim on the head and took phone and currency from the victim’s pocket at 11:05 p.m. Loss valued at $380.

Angel Paredes, 42, and Martin Alvarez, both of Bolingbrook, were charged with criminal trespass to property on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Dr. at 12:25 p.m.

MAY 28

Three guns were taken from a residence on the 400 block of Marshall Ash between May 25-May 28. Loss valued at $1200.

A passenger tire was removed from a vehicle parked in Lot S of Fernwood Drive sometime overnight.

A backpack, wallet and cellphone were taken from a secured locker on the 200 block of Lindsey Lane between 3:30-6 p.m.

Jamie Carpio-Ruiz, 54, of Bolingbrook, was charged with criminal trespass to property on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Dr. at 9:15 a.m.

MAY 29

Officers were called to the 100 block of Lee Lane for the report of a residential burglary. A suspect was seen in the kitchen. A wallet, currency and a cell phone were taken at 2:39 a.m. The subject ran through a rear door when confronted by the homeowner.

Joshua Beavers, 18, of Bolingbrook, was charged with robbery, following a call to the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. after a delivery driver was robbed at 12:07 p.m.

MAY 30

Officers responded to Kohl’s, 1138 W. Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Suspect took a White Sox hat and ran from the store without rendering payment at 3:15 p.m. Loss valued at $28.

Demonte Dandridge, 26, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Rd. at 1:05 p.m.

Rashad Owens, 28, and Sharnesia Cooley, 23, both of Joliet, were charged with retail theft from WalMart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., at 3:16 p.m.

Jacob Johannesen, 24, of Elmhurst, was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, two counts of DUI, resisting a peace officer, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device, following a call to the 200 block of Juniper Lane at 10:34 p.m.

MAY 31

Mario Galvan-Rivera, 29, of Woodridge, was charged with driving on a suspended license and illegal use of cellphone while driving, following a traffic stop at 83rd St. and Janes Ave. at 4:41 p.m.

A rear glass door was damaged with bb gun on the 400 block of Mallview Square at 4:20 p.m.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Salem Square for the report of a subject shooting a bb gun in the area and striking several juveniles playing outside at 6:45 p.m.

Officers responded to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., for the report of a burglary. Three Suspects broke a glass display glass and took several Apple products then ran from the store at 7:41 p.m. Loss valued at $6,500.

A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle parked in a business parking lot on the 400 block of Crossroads Pkwy. between 6:22 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.

Andrew Velazquez, 20, of Bolingbrook, was charged with two in-state warrants on the 300 block of Woodcreek Dr. at 10:19 p.m.

ROMEOVILLE

MAY 21

Gustavo Salazar, 20, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. in the 200 block of West Romeo Road for driving with a revoked driver’s license , no insurance and improper lighting.

Jaime Moreno, 31, of Lockport, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. in the 1000 block of Romeo Road for an in-state warrant.

MAY 22

Antwyn Bowie, 28, of 440 Independence Ln., Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:09 a.m. in the area of Independence and Montrose for an in-state warrant.

A theft over $500 was reported at 7:35 a.m. in the 700 block of South Weber Road. Suspects took a trailer containing tools from the parking lot. Total value of trailer and tools is estimated at $24,562.

A criminal defacement of property was reported at 7:54 a.m. in the 1500 block of Arborwood Circle. Suspects spray painted the siding of a residence.

Three criminal defacements of properties were reported in the 1600 block of Sonoma Court from 5:14 p.m. through 6:42 p.m. Suspects used spray paint to damage three vehicles that were parked in the street.

MAY 23

Arzania Williams, 33, of 155 Blackberry Dr., Bolingbrook, was arrested at 8:57 a.m. in the area of Route 53 and Chambers for driving with a suspended driver’s license .

Ernesto Diaz, 26, of 216 McKool Ave., Romeoville, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. in the 200 of McKool for disorderly conduct.

A criminal damage to property was reported at 10:42 p.m. in the 200 block of McKool. Suspects threw a brick through a window at the residence.

MAY 24

Phil Lucas, 26, of 1334 Highpoint Dr., Romeoville, was arrested at 11:21 a.m. in the 1300 block of Highpoint Drive for an in-state warrant.

MAY 25

At 10:10 a.m., a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on an in-state warrant in the 1200 block of Naperville Road.

A theft over $500 was reported at 10:42 a.m. in the 200 block of Williamsburg Ct. Suspects took a package containing an iPhone valued at $700 from the porch of the residence.

A retail theft was reported at 5:32 p.m. in the 200 block of South Weber Road. An unknown person took items of clothing, jewelry and accessories with a total value of $266.62.

MAY 26

At 1:44 a.m., a 16-­­­­year-old juvenile was arrested for curfew in the area of Sierra Trail and Ramsey Drive.
