Bolingbrook Police Blotter: Oct. 24-Nov. 1

Note to readers: Information in Police Blotter is obtained from the Bolingbrook police department and the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals listed in Police Blotter charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

OCTOBER 24

Two vehicles were taken from a parking lot on the 200 block of Old Chicago Dr. at 12:04 p.m.

OCTOBER 28

Devon James, 24, of Bolingbrook, was charged with in-state warrants, following a patrol stop at 5:41 p.m.

Officers were called to CD Liquors, 344 Commons Dr., for the report of a retail theft. Suspects grabbed two bottles of liquor and ran from the store at 6:27 p.m. Loss valued at $$122.

A 2012 Toyota Corolla was taken from a driveway on the 300 block of Hadleigh Rd. at 4:20 p.m. It was later located on the 100 block of Oxford Dr.

A 2007 Altima was taken from the 200 block of Ironbark Ct. at 11:10 a.m.

OCTOBER 29

Officers were called to a business on the 300 block of S. Schmidt Rd. for the report of a subject bleeding. Rodney Jones, 44, of Halifax, Va., was charged with aggravated battery. The victim was transported for their injuries.

OCTOBER 30

A vehicle window was broke out while parked on the 100 block of Lee Ln. at 2:23 p.m.

An iPhone 8 was taken from a business on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 7:31 p.m. The suspect grabbed the phone from display and ran from the store. Loss valued at $750.

A 2006 Great Dane trailer was taken from a lot on the 1000 block of Windham Pkwy. between October 29-30.

OCTOBER 31

Helen Block, 26, of Bolingbrook, was charged with battery, following a call to the 300 block of Gibraltar Dr., at 7:47 a.m.

Martiece Carter, 22, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Dr. & Briarcliff Rd. at 10:54 p.m.

Raul Ruiz-Gonzalez, 41, of Bolingbrook, was charged with two counts of DUI, improper lighting, improper lane usage, too fast for conditions, driving on a suspended license and no insurance, following a traffic stop on the 400 block of W. Boughton Rd. at 11:49 p.m.

Walter Gross, 28, of Bolingbrook, was charged with unlawful use of weapon, speeding and no driver’s license on person, following a traffic stop on the 700 block of W. Boughton Rd. at 1:47 p.m.

NOVEMBER 1

Keith Lyda, 54, of Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft from Menards, 290 N Bolingbrook Dr., at 1:57 p.m.
