Skoff Daddy-Daughter Dance. 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Beverly Skoff Elementary School, 775 Normantown Road, Romeoville. $5 per couple payable by April 29 or $6 at the door.

MAY 7

Addams Multicultural Festival. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jane Addams Middle School, 905 Lily Cache Lane, Bolingbrook. Jane Addams Middle School will celebrate the diversity of its community with sights, sounds, games and flavors from around the world at its Multicultural Festival. The Independence Elementary School Choir and the Mustang Riders Dance Team will perform. Other participants will include boot camp, Zumba, carnival games and a host of families presenting their ethnicity and cultures.Prize raffles will also be held. The public is welcome.

MAY 8

Pilates for Beginners. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at White Oak Library Romeoville Branch, 201 W. Normantown Road, Romeoville. Would you like to improve your core, posture, balance and flexibility?  Then join for this Pilates class, which is designed for beginners but may be altered for the more advanced. This low-impact class will be done on the floor, so bring your mat along with a water bottle, and dress in comfortable clothes.  A waiver must be signed upon arrival. Living History Demonstration. Noon to 3 p.m. at at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Isle a la Cache, 501 E. Romeo Road. Watch as reenactors portray life in “Illinois Country” during the 18th century French fur trade era. Ask questions and learn more about the people who called this region home. Registration is not required for this free, all-ages program.

MAY 9

Scrabble Club. 6 to 8 p.m. at White Oak Library Romeoville Branch, 201 W. Normantown Road, Romeoville.No experience is necessary. Just come and have some fun! The library will provide refreshments and the Scrabble boards, or feel free to bring your own.
