Live entertainment and farm fresh produce have made the Downtown Joliet Farmer Market a summer tradition.
The Joliet City Center Partnership said the market will kick off its 2015 season on June 19 and run through Sept. 25. Held along Chicago Street in the Van Buren Plaza area, the market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday.
Bringing together vendors, local businesses and live entertainment, the weekly market offers patrons a wide variety of items for purchase and the opportunity for a stroll through historic Downtown Joliet.
The Joliet City Center Partnership said vendor opportunities are still available, and individuals seeking more information should contact Karen Ward at firstname.lastname@example.org or 815-774-6072.
A new addition to the Downtown Joliet Farmers Market in 2015 will be a once a month Wednesday evening Farmers Market during the months of June, July and August. This evening market will be open from 4 to 8 p.m.
The Joliet City Center Partnership said it will release additional details about the evening markets at a later date. Up-to-date information on the market will be available at www.jolietdowntown.com/events/farmers-market.
