Holiday road safety report from Woodridge Police Department

The Woodridge Police Department conducted enforcement from November 14-27, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired, both day and night, during the Click It or Ticket mobilization. The Woodridge Police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities by cracking down on unbuckled motorists and impaired drivers.

During the mobilization, Woodridge Police Department issued:
• 38 seat belt citations
• 11 speeding citations
• 6 uninsured motorists
• 6 unlawful use of electronic communications device
• 2 child car seat citations
• 2 suspended/revoked licenses

The annual Click It or Ticket mobilization may be over in Woodridge, but that is no excuse to stop using your seat belt. This law enforcement mobilization was funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the nationwide “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaigns.
