A Joliet man has been arrested on child pornography charges as part of an ongoing investigation launched by the Will County State’s Attorney.
Kiyoshi Murakami, 41, 5416 Salma St., was arrested at his home on March 5. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force also was involved in the investigation.
Murakami was charged with two counts of child pornography. His bond was set on Friday at $250,000, and he will appear in court at 9 a.m. on March 27.
Investigators had identified a computer used to download child pornography that led them to Murakami’s home in Plainfield. Investigators executed a search warrant at that home Thursday and seized two laptops and two cell phones as part of the investigation.
