Knowing seniors have unique viewpoint on the best way to administer state legislation and local programs, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is hosting a Retiree Advisory Committee to hear their opinions directly, from 10 to 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at her district office, located at 2701 Black Road, Suite 201, in Joliet.
“Our seniors are a vital part of our community, and it is important that there is a place to discuss issues which directly affect them,” Manley said. “Retirees can offer different opinions and viewpoints gained through their experiences in life to the debates over legislation in Springfield. I encourage all seniors who are interested to come out and join me for part of their morning.”
Manley hosts a number of regular advisory committees to hear from area families about their perspective on state programs and services and to talk with them about state happenings that may impact them directly.
Manley’s Retiree Advisory Committee is free and open to all residents of the 98th District. An RSVP is required. To do so, or for more information, contact Manley’s full-time constituent service office at 815-725-2741 or email RepManley@gmail.com.
