The Summit of Uptown retirement community continued to be a center for civic activity in Park Ridge this month by offering a full schedule of events for residents and the community.

“We just completed the hosting of our third event this week here at Summit,” Executive Director Irene Sawka said recently. “On Monday, we treated 20 seniors from nearby church senior clubs to our lively St. Patrick’s Day lunch, tours and a party. Everyone seemed to have a good time.”

Summit also hosted a half dozen area seniors and their families to the Big Decisions Progressive Dinner. This was the third such dinner in a very successful series intended to introduce potential residents to the community and chat with current Summit residents about their experiences.

On March 18, Summit hosted 115 women at the Park Ridge Community Fund luncheon and fashion show. It is an annual fundraiser for the PRCF, which helps fund about two dozen Park Ridge-area social service agencies. Fashions from Chico’s of Park Ridge were featured.
