The Progressive Village Performance Network will bring the coming of age story “Footloose, the Musical” to Westmont the next two weekends.
In association with the Westmont Park District, PVPN will hold performances June 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 at Westmont High School, 909 Oakwood Drive.
“‘Footloose’ celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people; guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind,” PVPN said in a press release. “The classic tale of teenage rebellion and repression features a delightful combination of music, dance, and realistic and touching performances.”
The cast includes: Amy Bamberger (Chicago); Dave Callaghan, Jan Lown, Steve Lown and Dana Scott (Downers Grove); AJ Andersen (Hinsdale); Julian Magdaleno (LaGrange); Becki Blumer (Lombard); Axel Hageman, Max Martin, Christine Mesarchik and Laura Weaver (Naperville); Stella Flagg (River Forest), Annalise Nelson (Westchester); and Aaron Addi, Rose Armstrong, Samuel Brandeu, Ron Brix, Allison Burns, Mary Jane Burns, Declan Durr, Keith Durr, Larry Lalonde, Lauren Meneses, Grace Notbusch, Valerie O’Connor, Jacob Torrens and Caitlin Twarog (Westmont).
