Downtown events start at 4 p.m. and the... Full story

    Brian Stanley, Staff Reporter|Updated Oct 23, 2019

At first, I wondered if Shorewood's Girl Scout Junior Troop 71519 reached out to acknowledge all the Thin Mints I've purchased over the years. So on Oct. 17, I met with Abby, Nora, Mya, Elaina, Laurie, Katie, Zoe and Ava - all age 10 - to go over what it takes to make an article. I explained how a local news story is... Full story

The intense thunderstorms that hit northern Illinois throughout Sept. 27 destroyed the large tent that had been set up to hold the event the next day at Cene's Four Seasons Park. Like much of the area, parts of the park were flooded as retention ponds overflowed from a record amount of rainfall. Village officials said "safety and cleanup... Full story
