Lightning strikes are a rare event in the Joliet area in January. The percentage greatly increases where and whenever the Joliet West boys varsity basketball team is playing this winter. Entering Saturday's girls nonconference game with Wheaton Academy, the Lady Lions of Lisle had won their first 11 consecutive games to start the 2019-20 campaign. Back on December 27. 2018 in the 10th annual Montini Christmas Classic, the girls from Benet Academy and Fremd played a quarterfinal game that bore a resemblance, to the Chicago Bear-Green Bay Packer NFL rivalry.
