    Officials from the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission are taking protective measures to help limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), effective immediately. Office hours at the Orland Park Vet Center, the Peotone American Legion, Joliet Junior College, and Governors State University are suspended until May 1, 2020.     DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick announced Tuesday that all court-ordered evictions will be delayed for 30 days, effective immediately. The move came after Sheriff Mendrick learned of a resident who was being evicted from her apartment Monday.     The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced that a 54-year-old man, currently isolated in the hospital, is Will County’s first positive case of Coronavirus. The Will County Health Department reminds you that if you believe you have been exposed to Coronavirus, isolate yourself and self-monitor for the symptoms.
