    On Monday night in Lisle, a battle between the two, top teams in the inaugural Illinois Central 8 Conference, visiting Peotone and the host Lions squared off. The host Lions (18-3, 8-0) jumped out to a 16-9 lead after one quarter. Peotone (15-6, 6-2), doubled up on the Lions in the second quarter, outscoring Lisle 12-6, to close within 22-21 at halftime.
