The Downers Grove South boys golf team remains undefeated in the WSC Gold by defeating Proviso East in a match at Columbus Park Golf Course in Chicago.  For the Mustangs, Trevor Troha shot a one-over par 36, Clay Linde had a 40, Matt Millbrandt 43 and Mike Zurales 48.

•Westment moved to 9-5 on the year with wins over Timothy Christian and Montini. The Sentinels are getting strong play from Joe Virzi, Michael Kokoszka and Kyle Nguyen.

•The Benet girls topped Marian Central Catholic 153-176. Lauren Beaudreau had a 35.

The Redwings also beat Fenwick 172-188 as Beaudreau tallied a 36.


Maine East topped Vernon Hills 25-18, 25-13. Erika Christiansen had 11 assists, Kim Sergey had five kills and seven assists, Holley Lindberg tallied three aces and four blocks, Maddie Sielski had eight digs, Morgan Fritze had four blocks and Alexis Ponzio contributed four kills.

•Benet moved to 11-0 with a 25-18, 25-19 win over St. Charles East.

•Romeoville fell to Joliet West 25-14, 25-16. Lyric Miles had seven kills and Claudia Cisneros had nine assists.

•Lockport (8-3) beat Andrew 25-19, 18-25, 25-14. JoDee Kovanda had seven kills and eight assists, while Jasmine Raudys had 6.5 blocks.

•Minooka topped Plainfield East 25-14, 25-15. Alli Papesh had seven kills, nine digs and five blocks, Brooklyn Bachmann had 21 assists, Olivia Klank totaled six kills and three blocks and Holly Bonde added five kills and five blocks.
