THURSDAY GIRLS HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT REPORT

In their opening game of the 2019 Blue Devil Classic in Peotone, JCA freshman Jasmine Brown put on a show.

The fantastic frosh, Brown poured in 27 points as the Angels improved to 10-5 with the 70-49 romp over Watseka (9-3). Seniors Mia Bertino (17 points) and Jenna Hernandez (10 points), once-again,displayed their usual senior leadership on the court.

The Cougars (5-6) hung a second loss on the Lady Warriors (9-4), in the Blue Devil Classic on Thursday.

On Friday, the Cougars and Angels from JCA match-up in Peotone.

The Porters improved to 14-4, with the romp past the tournament hosts, from East (3-9). The game was tied after one quarter before the Porters opened up a 28-17 lead at the half and pulled away in the second half.
