No. 9 Lisle girls rolll past Peotone, open up two-game lead in IC-8

On Monday night in Lisle, a battle between the two, top teams in the inaugural Illinois Central 8 Conference, visiting Peotone and the host Lions squared off.

The host Lions (18-3, 8-0) jumped out to a 16-9 lead after one quarter. Peotone (15-6, 6-2), doubled up on the Lions in the second quarter, outscoring Lisle 12-6, to close within 22-21 at halftime.

The Lions extended their lead to 36-33 after three quarters before pulling away from Blue Devils for the 51-41 win. With the win the Lions have a two-game lead in the IC-8 over Peotone and Reed-Custer (13-9, 6-2)

The Blue Demons (5-12), won the nonconference game over the Hawks (2-13) in Park Ridge on Monday.
