The top-ranked Dons (25-3), led 24-15 after one quarter, 43-32 at the half and 59-41 after three quarters at Hersey (8-16) in Arlington Heights on Saturday.

Bolingbrook 68 West Aurora 56

The Raiders (21-5) bounced back from Friday's loss at H-F by rallying past West Aurora (8-17) at the Ernie Kivisto Shootout at East Aurora. The two teams were deadlocked at 15-15 after one quarter. The Brook led 29-27 at the half.

The Blackhawks soared into the lead at 34-32 after three quarters. Enter the Raider full-court pressure defense, which created numerous Blackhawk turnovers and saved the day.

Benet 51 Timothy Christian 39

The Redwings (18-7) led 12-7 after one quarter and 34-21 at the half versus their guests from Timothy Christian (19-6). The two clubs each scored 18 points in the even second half for the bounce-back win after Friday night's loss at Marian Catholic (19-7, 6-1).

FRIDAY

Before an overflow crowd in Niles the Associated Press' Class 3A No.1 Dons of Notre Dame (24-3, 7-0) were indeed ready for their arch-rivals from St. Patrick (17-6, 5-2).

Leading 34-20 at halftime, the Dons rolled past the Shamrocks 58-43.

Louis Lesmond and Jason Bergstrom each hit three long-range bombs to give the Dons the 14-point halftime lead. Lesmond led the Dons with 15 points at the half.

With the win, the Dons clinched at least a share of the 2019-2020 East Suburban Conference Championship.

They will travel to Lisle on Valentine's Day and take on the Redwings of Benet Academy (17-7, 5-2). Marian Catholic (19-7, 6-1), who defeated Benet tonight, is hoping to grab a share of the ESCC title with a Benet win and a Marian Catholic win over St. Viator (17-7, 4-2) at Marian Catholic.

Joliet West 60 Plainfield East 49

Joliet West (21-4, 13-0) wrapped up the SPC East Conference Championship with the SPC East win on Friday.

SOUTHWEST PRAIRIE WEST

Plainfield North 49 Minooka 40

Minooka (2-23,1-14) led this game 22-21 at the half. Plainfield North (16-7, 9-4) took a 35-31 lead after three quarters and rolled to their eighth consecutive win. With Oswego's (18-6, 8-4) loss at home to West Aurora, the Tigers move into second place in the SPC West behind Oswego East (17-8,10-3)

ILLINOIS CENTRAL 8

Lisle 60 Wilmington 53

The Lions (15-11, 9-2) picked up the huge win at Wilmington (9-14, 2-9) to stay atop the IC-8 with Streator (17-6, 9-2) and Manteno (16-9, 9-2).

SOUTHWEST PRAIRIE EAST

Romeoville 63 Joliet Central 58

The Spartans (14-12, 9-4) slipped past the Steelmen (11-17, 5-8) to cement their hold on second place in the SPC East.

WEST SUBURBAN SILVER

Downers Grove North 43 Glenbard West 40

The young Trojans won at historic Beister Gymnasium at Glenbard West (14-8, 1-7) to pull back to .500 on the season at 12-12. DGN is now in 5-4 in the WSC-Silver

NONCONFERENCE

Lockport 42 Andrew 40

The Porters (11-14) went on the road to Tinley Park and slipped past the host T-Bolts (12-10) on Friday.
