Plainfield South (4-0, 2-0) senior Max Peters fired a one-hit shutout at the Steelemen (1-7, 0-2) with 11 strikeouts. Brennan Phillips had a pair of singles, two doubles and drove home seven Cougar runs. Tylor Phommachanhom and Jeremy McGuigan homered for the Cougars.

JOLIET WEST 15 ROMEOVILLE 10

The Tigers (4-5, 2-0) kept pace atop the SPC East with Plainfield South (4-0, 2-0) with the slugfest win over the 'Ville (3-6, 0-2). Josh Wokurka singled, homered and drove home four runs to lead the Tigers.

The Spartans were led by the red-hot Julian Jimenez, who had two doubles, a home run and drove home three Spartan runs.

PLAINFIELD EAST 13 Plainfield Central 3

The Bengals (3-4, 1-1) evened up the SPC East series with Central behind Mike Bailey's two singles, double and three RBI. Christian Mitchelle hammered a three-run bomb for the Bengals.

The Wildcats (5-3, 1-1) only mustered four hits. Cody Nold had a single and a RBI to lead Plainfield Central.

SOUTHWEST PRAIRIE WEST

MINOOKA 10 OSWEGO EAST 8

The Indians (5-3, 2-0) kept pace with Plainfield North (5-0, 2-0) in the SPC West with the win in Oswego.

Ivan Dahlberg singled, doubled and drove home three Indian runs, while Hunter Ryan singled homered and drove in a pair of Indian runs.

Niko Bibian continued his hot-hitting with two singles and two RBI.

CENTRAL SUBURBAN NORTH

MAINE EAST 6 MAINE WEST 5

The Blue Demons (2-4-1, 1-1) picked up the one-run win over arch-rival West behind Gabe Escobar. Escobar had a single and drove home three Blue Demon runs.

CENTRAL SUBURBAN SOUTH

GLENBROOK SOUTH 7 MAINE SOUTH 6

Sam Marin doubled and drove home the lone Hawks (5-6, 1-1) run.

GLENBROOK NORTH 9 NILES WEST 1

The Wolves could only get four hits in Northbrook. Johnny Raciti singled home the lone Wolf run in the top of the second inning.

EAST SUBURBAN CATHOLIC

NOTRE DAME 10 ST PATRICK 0

Senior Frank Lynch threw a five-inning no-hitter at St. Patrick with eight strikeouts. Keenan Burgos fell a home ruin shy of hitting for the cycle and drove home two Don runs.

The Lions (0-5, 0-4) were swept by the Coalers in Coal City. Chris Farrell led the Lions with three singles and two RBI.

The Sentinels (2-12, 0-4) were blanked by the Fighting Irish. Spencer Anton led the Sentinels with a pair of singles.
