On Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m. to noon, the Rotary Club of Downers Grove and the Downtown Management Corporation will host its annual Halloween Window Painting Event in downtown Downers Grove. The event is intended for children in K-6th grade. The family event has been a tradition since 1966.
"The Halloween Window Painting Event has been around so long that some parents are bringing their own grandchildren to participate as the third generation of artists!" said Ann Hattan, president of the Rotary Club of Downers Grove. "Over 1,000 children participated in last year's event and were proud to have their artwork prominently displayed in downtown Downers Grove."
Paint will be supplied to participants courtesy of the Rotary Club of Downers Grove and the Downtown Management Corporation. Paint brushes will be provided courtesy of Beil & Stromberg Insurance. Paint and brushes will be available while supplies last. Please bring paper towels and water and other items you may want to have available for the kids.
